Preparations for the second edition of this unique event for motorization and adrenaline enthusiasts have just started! The Autodrom Jastrząb Drift Cup will be held from August 28th to August 29th 2021. Participants can compete in two ranks: Street and Profi. Due to enormous interest obtained during the first edition, this year the organizer has planned the event in a new, two-day formula.
Autodrom Jastrząb is the most modern and best-equipped Drivers Training Centre in Poland. State of art venue of tarmac autodrome, with 3.5 km long routes, equipped with 4 skid pads, a kick plate with water curtains. Training activities can be conducted on five independent modules at the same time, including a spectacular hill of 10% average gradient. The facility is also highly appreciated by drift enthusiasts due to the complex structure of the track, which is giving the possibility of many route configurations.
In recent years, Drift has been present at Autodrom Jastrząb mainly in the form of periodic and very popular open trainings. However, after the success of the Autodrom Jastrząb Drift Cup in 2020, which attracted over 70 drivers, the owners of the facility decided to prepare the event on an even larger scale in the coming season.
“Last year's one-day edition of the Drift Cup showed us clearly that both, drivers and fans want more! Therefore, we are very happy to announce that in the upcoming 2021 season, the Autodrom Jastrząb Drift Cup will be a two-day event.” - says Aleksandra Michalczewska, Board Chairman of ITS Michalczewski and owner of Autodrom Jastrząb.
Similarly to the last year, the competition is open to everyone. The Street class is intended mainly for beginners: the competition will rely solely on the individual, scored runs, while the competition in the Profi class is intended for the experienced and professional drivers. It is in the Profi class that we expect the participation of many titled competitors, who regularly improve their skills at the Jastrząb track.
“A wide group of side-forward driving enthusiasts has already declared their participation, including even larger representation of leading and famed drifters. The two-day event gives more time to train, which is especially important due to the new, very exciting trial route which is being planned.” - says Mateusz Bińkowski, Car Training Coordinator at Autodrom Jastrząb.
As always, during the events at the Jastrząb track, there will be lots of attractions for the public, including families with children in the Family Zone. Besides the possibility of watching one of the most spectacular motorsports from the stands and having fun in one of the audience zones, the organizer also announces special DRIFT TAXI blocks, giving the possibility of driving the competition route in the passenger seat for the most courageous and hungry for adrenaline.
The organizer has prepared a wide range of amenities for the drivers, including the possibility of accommodation at the Jastrząb Hotel with a view on the track, the possibility of renting one of the spacious garage boxes, as well as a novelty introduced this year the vulcanization garage available on site. Similarly to last year, the prize pool prepared in cooperation with the Partners promises to be impressive.
